13 hours on a plane (with no stop) is a big enough ask for any adult, let alone a 3 1/2 year old, so it is fair to say that we were prepared for a potential meltdown or two en-route to Kuala Lumpur. Luckily and contrary to our apprehensions, today went as smooth as it possibly could have.

A big reason for this was a legendary lady at the Malaysia check-in desk (Heathrow) who sat us in row of three seats on the plane with a clear row behind us. Before we knew it we were stretching out which, coupled with a super-friendly flight attendant doting on Ollie's every need, meant we were set for a good journey including some sleep and even a couple of films each (Anna and Ollie thought Malificent was really good!! :-).

Upon landing the transfer to KL was an easy 45 minute cab ride and the following few hours simply saw us check into our hotel, swim lots, have a massage and eat! We are all now at different stages of managing our jetlag (e.g. we're up now at 2am ordering breakfast)...but thats the point of this stop off, adjust to time zone, wind-down from work life, then head off on stage two - Japan!

From our room on the 37th floor (lots of high rise here!) we have a magical night time view of the city, with its regular calls to prayer easily waking anyone silly enough to try and sleep through their jetlag.

Much Love,
Scott, Anna & Ollie x
